According to several news outlets, Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan are set to get married on June 9 (tomorrow) at a resort in Mahabalipuram. Kaathuvaakula director Rendu Kaadhal revealed his and Nayanthara’s wedding plans during a conference in Chennai. He revealed that they originally planned to get married in Tirupati. They decided to change the location of the wedding due to logistical issues.
Vignesh Shivan had this to say about the arrangement. “Like how your blessings have been there for me professionally, I needed it for my personal life as well. I am taking the next step in my personal life. On June 9, I am getting married to the love of my life , Nayanthara. This will be an intimate event in Mahabalipuram with family and close friends. Originally we planned to get married at Tirupathi Temple but due to logistical issues that did not happen. After the wedding, in afternoon, we will share our photos with all of you. On June 11th afternoon, Nayanthara and I will meet you all and have lunch together.”
Reportedly, some of the biggest names in cinema will be attending the wedding and reception including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Suriya, Ajith, Karthi, Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Another rumor circulating about the celebrity couple’s wedding is that filmmaker Gautham Menon will direct the ceremony, which will then be made into a documentary and sold to an OTT platform.
Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan started dating in 2015 when they were both working on Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. The couple announced their relationship at an awards show in 2016.
