Here is one Ayushmann Khurrana fact that you probably didn’t know – The actor almost had a role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, one of the longest running TV shows. Ayushmann revealed that he auditioned for a role on the daily soap a long time ago. However, it eventually went to actor Pulkit Samrat.
Ayushmann Khurrana is known for choosing unconventional roles. But before he started his career in Bollywood, he made a name for himself on the reality show Roadies. In a recent interview with a leading news portal, he shared that he also auditioned for Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

When asked if he had ever considered a TV show, he replied, “Yes, I did. It was a Balaji show, I can’t remember the name. Maybe was- this Kasauti Zindagii Kayy or Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Pulkit Samrat did this role finally. In fact, I did it as RJ at the time when I auditioned for the series. So I told my casting director ‘Bro, I’m going’ So I couldn’t do that TV show.
The show was indeed Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in which Pulkit Samrat played the role of Lakshya Virani. Its run started in 2000 and ended in 2008.

Ayushmann Khurrana was recently seen at Anek. Directed by Article 15 filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, the film revolves around a conflict-ridden region in northeast India. It also featured model-turned-actor Andrea Kevichusa. Ayushmann is attached to star in Doctor G alongside Rakul Preet Singh and also in An Action Hero.
