Once again, Brandon Moreno is the UFC champion. And once more, it appears that he and Deiveson Figueiredo will collide.

New Gym:

Brandon Moreno has made the decision to alter his fighting strategy.

The former UFC flyweight champion has broken off his relationship with Entram Gym, his longstanding team based in Tijuana, Mexico. Several sources who were aware of the move told MMA Junkie about Moreno’s choice.

Moreno (19-6-2 MMA, 7-3-2 UFC), who now resides in Las Vegas, has not yet chosen a new organisation to train with, but sources claim that Kansas City, Missouri’s Glory MMA & Fitness will be his next stop.

Krause has coached a number of competitors, including Brandon Moreno, and was a former lightweight fighter in the UFC. In his most recent fight, he defeated Claudio Silva by unanimous decision in 2020.

During his stint in the UFC, the seasoned lightweight has faced off against fighters like Jorge Masvidal, Donald Cerrone, and many other well-known figures.

Additionally, James Krause has developed the fighting abilities of numerous competitors and assisted them in joining the UFC. One outstanding example of a player who has benefited from Krause’s guidance is Julian Marquez. When Moreno faces Kai Kara France at UFC 277, it will be intriguing to see if his fighting style has changed and improved.

The UFC flyweight champion, who also enjoys building Lego models, was given a life-size UFC belt by artist Chris Ihle earlier this week. Moreno (19-5-2 MMA, 7-2-2 UFC) was overjoyed, to put it mildly, as he had already expressed to MMA Junkie his desire for a Lego-made UFC title.

When Moreno (19-5-2 MMA, 7-2-2 UFC) defeated Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 263 in June, he made history by becoming the organization’s first champion from Mexico.

On January 22, when they face off in the co-main event of UFC 270, the two will go back and forth a third time. It is Moreno’s first championship defence in the UFC.
