Before switching to motocross, Rouse started riding motorcycles at the age of seven on a Malaguti 50. He quickly developed into an accomplished rider and experienced some brief success.

He switched to circuit racing in 2008 and raced in the Fab Racing Series before joining the Aprilia Superteens Championship in 2009.

He won the championship as a 14-year-old in his second season after entering the Triumph Triple Challenge, and in 2011 he advanced to the British 125GP Championship.

With 10 victories and multiple top-three finishes in the Triumph Triple Challenge season in 2013, Rouse dominated the field and won the championship with two races remaining.

As Rouse advanced through the Superstock classes, the Crowe Performance BMW crew helped him win the championship in 2020.

This season, Rouse rejoined the Crowe Performance BMW squad and claimed a top ten finish in the Bennetts BSB.

The event happened on the first lap of both the third and last British Superbike races that were scheduled. Chrissy Rouse suffered a disastrous high-side going out of Goddards Hairpin and was inevitably struck by an approaching (unidentified) rider. Except for the initial high-side phase, nothing about the incident’s dynamics was ever shown on television.

He was stabilised and placed in a medically induced coma at the medical centre of the circuit before being transferred for additional evaluation to the Queens Medical Centre/University Hospital of Nottingham, where due to the serious head injury he sustained recently, he underwent emergency neurosurgery. But in the early afternoon of this day, the 26-year-old could sadly not be saved, and as stated in the press release issued by the organisation that organised the MSVR championship, he departed tragically.
