According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, free agent Donte DiVincenzo and the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors have reached an agreement on a two-year, $9.3 million contract.

Golden State Warriors front office made their first important off-season move on Friday by signing guard Donte DiVincenzo to a two-year contract, which shifted the early free agency news that focused on their attempts to keep players from last season’s team.

Shams Charania of The Athletic initially revealed the agreement, which is for $9.3 million with a player option for the following year.

The Warriors’ backcourt has suffered since guard Gary Payton II decided to sign with the Portland Trail Blazers, but DiVincenzo adds depth to the unit. After the Sacramento Kings rejected to make him an offer earlier in the week, DiVincenzo became a free agency.

The first three years of the former NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player’s career were spent with the Milwaukee Bucks. In the 2020–21 season, he started 66 games for the Bucks, but an injury kept him out of the most of their postseason run to the championship. In February 2022, he was part of a four-team trade that went to Sacramento.

On December 15, the guard was given the all-clear to play his first game of the season, and he promptly entered the NBA’s health and safety procedures.

Due to this, his scheduled return date was moved back 10 days, to December 25, for an exciting Christmas Day game against the Boston Celtics.

On this play in the 2021 postseason against the Heat, DiVincenzo tore a ligament in his ankle. Nearly seven months after he believed he had stepped on Dragic’s foot in Game 3 against the Heat, DiVincenzo returned to an NBA court on Christmas.

Number Change:

MarJon Beauchamp, who was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 24th overall choice in the 2022 NBA Draft, had a significant reason for picking the No. 0 jersey.

DiVincenzo missed all three of the Bucks’ summer league games in Las Vegas due to a groyne issue, which was recently patched up. I’m pretty sure those banking numbers make it difficult to secure a seat at a blackjack table.

On January 31, 1997, Donte DiVincenzo was born in Newark, Delaware. John F. and Kathie DiVincenzo are his parents.

John F. DiVicenzo, his father, is a middle school basketball coach. On the other side, Kathie DiVicenzo, his mother, works in real estate.

Donte DiVicenzo and John A. DiVicenzo are the couple’s two sons. The older of the two is John.

It is simple to determine where Donte DiVicenzo first became passionate about basketball because his father was a basketball coach. When Donte was younger, he played soccer, but in high school he moved to basketball.

DiVincenzo is of American nationality and his ethnicity is Italian.

Gus Johnson, a sportscaster, gave DiVincenzo the nickname “Big Ragu” after his last-second tip-in on January 29, 2017, gave Villanova the victory over University of Virginia. He was given the moniker reportedly because of his red hair and Italian ancestry.
