Tamannaah Bhatia is understandably in a good mood these days. After her fabulous Cannes appearance, the actress was also greeted by the success of her latest F3 outing which has already raked in over Rs 63 crores in three days, according to reports. F3 also stars Varun Tej and Venkatesh in the lead roles. Of course, it can’t be compared to her other films like Baahubali, but it is surely a moment of joy for the actress.
“From the start, when I first heard the script for F3, we knew it would be a movie that families and the masses would enjoy. Of course, in doing so, we didn’t know what the situation will be like in terms of a pandemic. It makes me so happy that right now everyone is ready to watch movies and rush to theaters! The movie is literally going home and it was declared a blockbuster from the start! I think it’s just the energy of the movie that’s full of fun and romping and everybody’s in a space right now where they want to go to the movies and that’s exactly the kind of movie that they want to watch. And of course Anil sir has already covered all the possible fun that makes for an entertaining film in terms of story and script,” she said in an exclusive interview with Filmfare.
“I was waiting to see people’s reactions – especially since my character’s transformation was comically shocking to the audience! My character dresses up and pretends to be a boy in the second half and it almost tickles me every time I see a tweet or a response from the public and they say, “You turned into a boy in the second half!” Just the appreciation that comes to me and the comments like, “Oh, you’re a much prettier boy and “You’re cuter as a boy!” means a lot to me because I feel like it’s such an organic appreciation. I feel like it’s critical validation for a movie in a commercial space. It’s definitely a movie that’s new in idea and characterization and it’s something that I, or someone I know lately, played for the first time. lead actress in a film, it’s definitely one of the highlights of my career. e,” she added.
