Ever since the announcement of Ms. Marvel, the first MCU title to feature a Muslim superhero, speculation surrounding its cast has been swirling around the internet. We already knew Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar would be making an appearance on the show, but details about his character were being kept under wraps. And now, Marvel has finally given us our first look at her role in the series.
In a new Ms. Marvel clip, Farhan Akhtar can be seen as something of a kurta-wearing mystic. He offers some advice to Kamala Khan saying, “What you seek seeks you”. Could this mean he’s going to help Kamala understand her newly discovered cosmic powers? Although it’s unclear, it looks like we’ll find out soon.

Ahead of Ms. Marvel’s premiere, Akhtar shared a note about the series saying, “The show is a celebration of diversity and it’s sure to bring joy and pride of identity to millions of young girls and boys around the world. subcontinent.” While Farhan Akhtar is officially in the MCU, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is also known to be seen in cameo. The show also has several Bollywood references.
Ms. Marvel’s synopsis reads – An excellent student, avid gamer, and voracious fan-fiction scribe, she has a special affinity for superheroes, especially Captain Marvel. But Kamala struggles to fit in at home and at school, that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life is easier with superpowers, isn’t it?
