Toronto Concert 2022:
This summer, Toronto will be a stop on Harry Styles’ Love On Tour, but good luck trying to buy tickets because they were fully sold out just minutes after going on sale.
After postponing his 2020 Canadian portion of the tour, the British singer declared he will return to the country. He was finally returning to Toronto for the first time since 2018, which swiftly thrilled fans.
While some people were fortunate enough to get tickets, the majority did not because both Toronto performances were completely sold out shortly after going on sale to the general public.
Camping Out:
Numerous people who purchased tickets to see Harry Styles perform on Monday and Tuesday nights have been camped out in front of Scotiabank Arena since Saturday. On TikTok, locals have begun recording footage of the tent assembly.
On TikTok, Erin (@erinnfan) was at a Pitbull concert on Saturday night when she noticed a sea of tents outside the arena. She verified that those waiting in line were there to see Styles perform.
Others are quick to draw attention to the city’s bias towards tents, while some people bend to their level of fandom.
In March 2020, when COVID-19 was on the rise, homeless encampments started quickly spreading throughout the city. Since then, members of the public who refused to leave parks and other public spaces have been violently removed and arrested by Toronto police.
According to reports, the city spent about $2 million to remove three encampments in 2021. The hypocrisy of it all was not lost on Torontonians.
