Roll on 12,13 and 14 August 2022… When the IRONMAN Group and Cork County Council announced the addition of IRONMAN 70.3 Ireland, Cork to the already scheduled and existing IRONMAN Ireland – Cork event, we were thrilled and very were excited.
This may take anywhere from 6 months to 1 year depending on your current fitness. Athletes who can complete 70.3 Ironmans on day one can start training within 6 months.
Start Time:
Cairns Esplanade from Aplin Street to Upward Street: 6.30am to 10am on Saturday, 7am Sunday to 1.30am Monday.

Most Ironman events have a time limit of 16 or 17 hours to complete the race, depending on the course, with the race usually starting at 7:00 a.m. The mandatory cut-off time to swim 2.4 miles (3.86 km) is 2 hours 20 minutes.

Max Newman took three consecutive Ironman Cairns victories at the Ironman Asia-Pacific Championships on Sunday, while fellow Australian Sarah Crowley was the clear winner of the women’s race.

Athletes who have never done a triathlon or are completely new to triathlon training will need 12 months. There are a lot of plans out there for 12 or 16 weeks.
