The well-known Twitter handle PRGuy17 has disclosed that he is actually Jeremy Maluta.

In an hour-long interview with Jordan Shanks on Friday, Jeremy Maluta, the person behind the PRGuy17 account, came forward.
It coincides with a defamation action filed by Rebel News reporter Avi Yemini to identify the well-known Twitter user who has gained notoriety for vociferously backing Labor Premier Daniel Andrews.

When the PRGuy17 twitter account first appeared, there was a lot of speculation about who the account’s administrator was; many people thought it was a Labor strategist or someone connected to Premier Daniel Andrews.

Twitter cooperated with the request and gave Yemini access to a number of IP addresses. Twitter only gave a name and email address, which were insufficient to identify the account’s owner.

92,000 accounts follow @PRGuy17, which is best known for supporting the Andrews administration during Victoria’s lockdown and criticising journalists.
Maluta made the choice to reveal himself when a judge ordered Twitter to release information related to the account at the beginning of this month so Maluta could be identified in a defamation case.

“Hi, I’m Jeremy Maluta. You may remember me from such hashtags as #IStandWithDan and #ICantBelieveItsNotAStaffer,” he told followers in a surprise post.

Avi Yemini, a reporter for the alt-right website Rebel News with ties to the anti-lockdown movement, filed the lawsuit.
Dan Andrews:
In an effort to raise money to fight a defamation lawsuit, the person behind a pro-Daniel Andrews Twitter account has revealed their identity.
Yemini secured a Federal Court order last week asking Twitter to provide PRGuy’s account information because he plans to sue the company for social media statements that he claims were defamatory.
Twitter cooperated with the request and gave Yemini access to a number of IP addresses. Twitter only gave a name and email address, which were insufficient to identify the account’s owner.
