Tour 2023:
British-Irish comedian Jimmy Carr is heading to Australia on his postponed world tour. Known for his deadpan delivery of controversial one-liners, the comedian, presenter, writer, and actor is bringing down all-new material for his Terrifyingly Funny tour.
He will appear in Victoria for four shows in 2023 – in Melbourne on 17 February, Balleret on 22 February, Bendigo on 23 February and Geelong on 6 March.
Beginning in 2023, Carr will showcase Terrible Funny 2.0 in all Australian capital cities – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Hobart, Canberra and Darwin – as well as Ballarat, Bendigo, Newcastle, Wollongong, Geelong, Mandurah, Launceston, Adelaide Will do Caloundra, Toowoomba, Townsville, Cairns, Darwin and the Gold Coast.
Laugh:
Jimmy Carr is known for two things: tax avoidance and his iconic laugh. But while one of these takes centre stage on his new gameshow, the other, weirdly, does not.
Commenting on Twitter, one user said: “They’ve broken @jimmycarr laugh. A terrific format with the perfect host. I Literally Just Told You is the best new quiz format of the year. Excellent!”
Echoing the surprise, another wrote: “Jimmy Carr literally crying laughing and NOT doing that inhaling stupid laugh?????”
Tax:
Comedian Jimmy Carr says he made “a terrible error of judgment” on using the tax avoidance scheme.
In a statement on his Twitter account, Mr Carr said he was no longer involved in the K2 Tax Shelter. Prime Minister David Cameron on Wednesday called Mr Carr’s use of the plan “morally incorrect”.
The K2 tax plan used by Mr. Carr is one way to reduce the amount of tax paid. This is legal and Mr. Carr clarified in his statement that it was fully disclosed to HMRC.
Is Virgin:
As of 2022, Jimmy Carr is not virgin.
Jimmy Carr has revealed that he lost his virginity at the age of 26 to discuss his book with restaurant critic Jay Renner. Jimmy appeared on an episode of the Out to Lunch with Jay Renner podcast when he revealed the news.
Jimmy said: “I think from a therapeutic standpoint, (I was) probably a little too close to my mom and that’s something that keeps you from having a relationship.
“I think it’s also one of those things where it’s quite nice to talk about because everyone assumes it happens when you’re 16 or 18 or whatever the norm is now, and then it’s the same for everyone, they all have a great time.”

Jimmy and long-term partner Karoline Copping have been dating since meeting in 2001.
Canadian-born Caroline is Channel 5’s commissioning editor and the couple met early in their careers while auditioning for a panel show.
