KK singer passed away on May 31 after performing a concert in Kolkata. The musician reportedly suffered a heart attack and collapsed in his hotel room later that evening. Rushed to hospital, he was pronounced dead. His funeral will be held in Mumbai today. Her daughter Taamara has now shared a heartbreaking message on her Instagram account with details of her funeral.
Taamara, who is also a musician, shared the details in an Instagram story titled, “Love you forever daddy.” The news of KK’s untimely passing came as a shock to his loved ones and fans. As people mourn the loss of the music icon, his last rites will be performed today.
After KK passed away, several videos of him getting sick appeared. He was performing at a university festival instead of Nazrul Mancha. The concert was packed and recent reports reveal that the singer seemed uncomfortable while on stage.
KK was only 53 when he died. He leaves behind a memorable memory discography which includes hit songs independent albums as well as songs from films like Yaaron, Pyaar Ke Pal and Ajab Si, among others. He is survived by his wife, daughter and son. His funeral will be held at the Versova crematorium where Hariharan, Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghoshal and others gathered to pay their last respects.
