(June 6, 1906 – February 22, 1959). She was named after the actress Loretta Young. Ted was a coal miner and a subsistence farmer. The family claims Cherokee heritage, but they are not recognised by or members of a tribe.

After 50 years of marriage, Lynn’s husband passed suddenly from congestive heart disease in 1996, leaving behind his wife and their kids.

Since then, two of Lynn’s kids have died. On the family’s farm, Jack attempted to cross a river on his horse in 1984 but failed and drowned.

When Jack passed away in July 2021, he was only 34 years old. Lynn posted on Facebook to mark the occasion.

“My Jack. Today in 1984 my life changed forever. You are never the same after you bury one of your children-never. I’ve thought of him and missed him every day for 37 years,” she wrote.

Oliver “Doolittle” Lynn, a talent manager from Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, was born on August 27, 1926.
