Twitter:

The age of social media is upon us, whether we like it or not. These days there are many different ways to communicate with people without using traditional methods; View telephone calls and face-to-face conversations.

This media revolution has given us unprecedented direct access to our favorite athletes without the benefit of a press pass or “friend of a friend”. Facebook and Twitter lead the technology movement to deliver news and information to people in such volume and speed as never before.

From joking around with teammates to posting photos of summer vacations, there’s never a shortage of tweets from NHL players.
