On Sunil Dutt’s birth anniversary, Sanjay Dutt shares an emotional moment from Munna Bhai MBBS
Bollywood star, Sanjay Dutt, wrote a touching note on the birthday of his late father, Sunil Dutt. The veteran actor would have turned 93 today, June 6. His loss is felt by those close to him, his fans and those in the entertainment industry. Sanjay Dutt remembered his father as he paid a heartfelt tribute to mark the date.
Sanjay Dutt took to his social media handles to share two photos of himself and Sunil Dutt from Munna Bhai MBBS. The film that achieved cult status saw them play a father-son duo. The photos in question are from their popular “jaadu ki jhappi” scene in the movie which captured many hearts.
Remembering his late father, Sanjay Dutt wrote, “Your belief and love helped make me who I am today. You were, are and always will be my hero. Happy Birthday Dad”
The message is doubly heartbreaking as Munna Bhai MBBS was Sunil Dutt’s last film. The actor reportedly died after suffering a heart attack in May 2005. The film saw Sanjay play the titular Munna Bhai while Sunil Dutt played HariprasadSharma. Fans will remember the emotional scenes between the two in the 2003 film.
Earlier, Sanjay Dutt also shared a message for Sunil Dutt’s death anniversary which falls on May 25. He wrote: “Through thick and thin, you have always been there to guide and protect me. You were my strength, my inspiration and my support in every need… the best a son could ask for. You will always be in my heart dad, I miss you!” as he remembered him.
On the work side, after the success of KGF: Chapter 2, Sanjay Dutt was recently seen at Samrat Prithviraj alongside Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar and Sonu Sood. The film is currently in theaters.
