On Sunday, Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala was gunned down in Mansa district of Punjab state. The news of his horrific murder sent shock waves through all levels. His loss is felt by his loved ones, his fans and the entire music industry. According to multiple reports, mobster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang and Canadian mobster Goldy Brar took responsibility for the murder. It was also revealed that Lawrence Bishnoi threatened Bollywood star Salman Khan in the past.
In 2018, Salman Khan was the target of Lawrence Bishnoi whose henchmen allegedly threatened to kill the actor. Their threats came after the infamous Salman Khan deer hunting case. It has been reported that Lawrence Bishnoi and his community held the blackbuck to be sacred. In response, the actor’s security was tightened.

For the uninitiated, the brutal murder of Sidhu Moose Wala comes after the singer received death threats from gangsters believed to be Bishnoi’s aides. Lawrence Bishnoi has several cases against him ranging from murder to extortion. He was arrested in 2017 and is currently in a high security cell in Delhi’s Tihar prison. However, it is believed that he would control his gang from prison.

The late Sidhu Moose Wala burst onto the music scene with his 2017 track So High. He was best known for his discography which included Jatt Da Muqabala, Bown Boys and Legend. His latest song titled The Last Ride sparked speculation as fans noticed parallels between the song’s lyrics and the circumstances of his death.
