Singer-songwriter Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK passed away yesterday after suffering a heart attack after a concert in Kolkata. He was reportedly rushed to CMRI Hospital where he was pronounced dead. KK was only 53 years old. The late singer was best known for his track Yaaron and Pyaar Ke Pal among countless hits – songs that struck chords with multiple generations. It would be an understatement to say that the news of his disappearance left the nation in a state of shock. His loss is deeply felt by his loved ones and the entertainment industry.
Condolences poured in from devastated fans and celebrities who took to social media to share their tributes. Among those sharing heartfelt notes for the late singer are actors Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan and others. Meanwhile, musicians Vishal Dadlani, Pritam and many others also expressed their grief.
Akshay Kumar wrote, “Extremely sad and shocked to hear of the sad demise of KK. What a loss! Om Shanti.” Karan Johar tweeted: “Heartbreaking news on the sudden passing of such an incredible talent…RIP KK…the entertainment world lost a true artist today…Om Shanti.”
