
The Squid Game is officially coming back to Netflix for season two. According to a message from director Hwang Dong-hyuk, the second season will see the return of Gi-hun and the mysterious front man.

Netflix’s co-CEO and chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, confirmed that the Squid game’s second season will take place in January 2022 during an earnings call.
The creator, writer and director of Squid Game, Hwang Dong-hyuk, has estimated that it will release in late 2023 or at the latest in 2024.
The series became the biggest hit in Netflix history when it arrived on the streaming giant last September, launching the likes of South Korean star Lee Jung-jae (who led the talented Squid Game cast) to global fame.
