“Thought I will die making Brahmastra” – Ayan Mukerji
Brahmastra is one of the greatest films Indian cinema has ever seen and is touted as a sight to watch. The movie which is Ayan Mukerji’s passion project and which took more than 5 years to make had a lot of battles to fight before finally confirming its release on September 9, 2022.
SS Rajamouli, Ranbir Kapoor and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji were recently in Vishakhapatnam to promote their film where Ayan commented on how he thought he would die making Brahmastra and it would never be made.
He was quoted in a leading publication as he opened up about the film at the event, saying, “For many years I thought this film would never be made and I will die making it. Brahmastra. So many people have asked me why the movie was so long and why it was so expensive. They asked me to do another romantic movie. But, I always believed that if we did Brahmastra, it would be very pioneering for our country. The film would find a large audience in the country. This energy has brought about many positive things.
Brahmastra teaser 2 dropped recently and garnered a massive response. It is a film based on mythology in which Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt play the central characters of Shiva and Isha. Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of Professor Arvind Chaturvedi while Nagarjuna will play an archaeologist named Ajay Vashisht. Mouni’s character was also revealed and his name is Damayanti.
