The Westminster Dog Show 2022 is underway at the Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, New York. The largest dog showcase in the United States, approximately 3,500 dogs will compete for the coveted title of Best in Show in the 146th iteration of the show. Breed judging began on Monday, 20 June with hounding and herding groups.

Trumpet, a gorgeously wrinkly and lustrous bloodhound from Illinois, won best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Wednesday night, edging out a tough crowd of contestants that included a fluffy Samoyed, a silky Maltese and an all- Business German Shepherd.
Prize Money:
The Westminster Dog Show is no exception, as the winners do not receive any cash prizes. Hopefully, handlers will have a doggy treat or two to present to their furry friends.
Last year’s Westminster Dog Show winner wasn’t in it for the money—no prize money—and he’s a very dog, even if it’s hard to tell from afar.
In addition to the prestigious title at stake, $20,000 in prize money is awarded at The National Dog Show Presented by Purina.

Usually held in the winter at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, the show moved to the suburban Lyndhurst estate last year and this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Ticket Prices:
Tickets for the Westminster Dog Show traditionally range from $40 – $65 for general admission with the costs climbing to $100 or more for special two-day packages.
Attending the prestigious program can start in the $100 range. The price paid may be affected by where your seats are located at the venue. General admission to Madison Square Garden in New York City can start in the $99 range and a 2-day pass can be found for around $858. We offer several pricing tiers.
The 2022 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show ended on Wednesday with the final round of group judging, as the final three dogs took their places in Best in Show judging.

TV Channels: Fox, FS1, FS2
Fox and its affiliate channels will broadcast the 2022 Westminster Dog Show. The network will offer coverage on four of the five days. Fox will air the ever-popular agility tests on Sunday, June 19, and FS1 and FS2 will do most of the heavy lifting after that.
The coveted “Best of Show” honor is up for grabs. The ultimate prize will be announced on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET. Wasabi the Pekingese won last year’s honors.
