One of the most shocking news yesterday was the untimely death of Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke village located in Mansa district. His assistants have fled but officials are looking for them.
For those who don’t know, Sidhu Moose Wala was called Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu and had up to seven million followers on Instagram. He took the name Sidhu Moose wala as he was from Moose village. He was only 28 years old and was immensely loved by the masses for his rap numbers.

As for his education, he had obtained his engineering degree from Guru Nank Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana.
He was a successful singer and lyricist who moved from Punjab to Canada after graduation and his 2017 song G-Wagon was a big hit.
Sidhu Moose Wala had also ventured into politics when he joined Congress on December 3, 2021.
His singing expeditions have earned him great recognition as he was ranked among the top 50 new artists by The Guardian in early 2020. While 10 of his songs made it to the UK Asian chart, two of them were the best of the chartbusters.

According to TOI, he was shot while traveling in his car last night as he left his village. He was among 424 people whose security had been taken off duty the previous day, Saturday. Gaurav Toora, who is an official superintendent of Mansa district, further confirmed that the 28-year-old’s death was due to the attack.
